Stake bonus terms, explained
Every deposit bonus has a wagering requirement. Understanding it before you deposit is the difference between a good deal and a complaint. Here is how Stake’s works, in plain language.
What a wagering requirement is
Bonus money must be wagered a set number of times before it becomes withdrawable. If the multiplier is 40x and your bonus is $200, you need to place $8,000 of bets before the $200 and any winnings from it can leave the account. Your own deposit is never locked by the bonus rules; it is the bonus balance that carries the requirement.

Game weighting
Not every game counts the same toward wagering. Slots typically count in full; Originals, table games and live dealer often count partially or not at all. Check the weighting table in Stake’s bonus terms before you choose what to play with bonus funds.
Time limits
Bonuses expire. If the requirement is not met within the window, the remaining bonus balance is removed. Deposit an amount you can realistically wager through in that time, not the maximum you can afford.
Withdrawing while a bonus is active
Requesting a withdrawal before wagering is complete normally forfeits the remaining bonus. If you want your deposit back untouched, do it before the bonus is credited, or accept that the bonus goes.
How to play a bonus sensibly
- Decide the deposit from your budget, not from the bonus cap.
- Play games that count 100%. Anything else stretches the requirement.
- Remember the rakeback runs regardless: 3.5% of the house edge on every bet comes back whether the bonus works out or not.

A worked example, start to finish
- You register with PACTBONUS and deposit $100 in USDT.
- You activate the offer. Your bonus balance shows $200; your cash balance shows $100.
- The rollover is 40 × ($100 + $200) = $12,000. The clock starts: 30 days.
- You play slots at $1 a spin (the max bet at a $100 deposit). Each spin counts $1 toward rollover. 12,000 spins is a lot of spins; at a brisk 600 spins an hour that is 20 hours of play across the month.
- If the balance is gone before 12,000 spins, the bonus is gone and there is nothing to wager. If the balance survives to 12,000 spins, whatever is left is withdrawable.
The honest summary: a 40× rollover on deposit plus bonus is a lot of play. The bonus is worth taking if you would play that much anyway. It is not a way to turn $100 into $300 that you can withdraw.

Max bet and other ways to lose the bonus
- Betting above the max bet. Bets over the cap while the bonus is active can void the bonus and any winnings from it. Slot bonus-buy features count as bets at their full price.
- Even-money hedging. Betting both sides of a roulette wheel or a sports market to grind rollover is treated as abuse.
- Low-risk patterns on Originals. Dice at 98% win chance for thousands of rolls is the classic one; Stake reserves the right to void bonuses earned that way.
- A second account, or a VPN. Both breach the general terms, and verification finds them before the first withdrawal.
Depositing and withdrawing while a bonus is active
Stake’s help centre calls this a “deposit bonus requirement”. While one is active, a withdrawal request forfeits the remaining bonus and any winnings that came from it; your original deposit remains yours. Further deposits during the rollover are allowed but do not increase the bonus, and they sit in the same balance, so keep them separate in your head or wait until the rollover is done. If you want your deposit back untouched, take it out before activating the offer.
How to track rollover progress
- Open your profile and choose the VIP panel.
- Open the deposit bonus tab. It shows the bonus amount, the wagering target, the amount wagered so far and the days remaining.
- The figure updates per bet, so it is also the quickest way to check whether a game is counting at 100% or 25%.
