Football from the top leagues down to third divisions, basketball including the NBA and EuroLeague, tennis, ice hockey with the NHL and Liiga, MMA, boxing, American football, baseball, cricket, motorsport and a long tail of smaller sports. Markets on a big football match run into the hundreds: result, handicaps, totals, both teams to score, player props, corners and cards. Smaller leagues get the core markets only.

What we found, area by area

Odds and margins

We compared closing odds on twenty football matches and ten NBA games against two mainstream European bookmakers. On the match result of a top-league game Stake’s margin sat around 4–6%, in line with the mainstream. On lower leagues and on props the margin widened to 7–9%, which is where a sharper bettor will find better prices elsewhere. Esports margins were the most competitive of the lot, reflecting where Stake’s focus is. None of this was timed on video; it is a spreadsheet comparison from our own accounts.

Live betting, bet builder, cash-out

• Live betting covers most events with a scoreboard and, for football, a match tracker. Odds update within a second or two; markets suspend around goals and cards as everywhere.
• Bet builder lets you combine markets from one match into one bet on major football and basketball.
• Cash-out is offered on most single and accumulator bets, full or partial. In our use it was available when we expected it and disappeared during suspensions, which is normal.
• Multis and accumulators price normally; Stake runs boosted multi promotions from time to time.

Esports

Counter-Strike, League of Legends, Dota 2, Valorant, Rainbow Six, Rocket League and more, with map-level markets, handicaps and totals on the big tournaments and match winner on the rest. Stake sponsors esports teams and events, and the section is maintained accordingly: markets go up early, live betting is available on tier-one events, and the odds are the sharpest on the site. If esports is what you bet, this is the strongest reason to use Stake’s book.

Using the bonus on sports

Pre-match and live market counts by event

Counts are from our own accounts in the weeks before publication and vary by event; treat them as scale, not a promise.

Settlement and payout speed

Pre-match singles on major sports settled within minutes of the official result in our use; accumulators settle when the last leg does. Esports and lower-league football occasionally waited longer for confirmation. Once settled, the winnings are ordinary balance: crypto withdrawals cleared in minutes on a verified account, exactly as on the casino side. Timings and screenshots are on deposits and withdrawals. Voided bets, for postponed or abandoned events, are returned to balance and do not count toward wagering.

Stake limits and winning accounts

Maximum stakes are shown per market when you build a bet and are generous for a crypto book on major events, lower on small leagues and props. Like almost every bookmaker, Stake reduces limits on accounts that beat the closing line consistently. We have seen it reported by sharp bettors and we have no reason to doubt it; our own accounts, which bet recreationally, have not been limited. Betting on mobile

There is no native app in most countries; the web app added to your home screen is the mobile experience and it handles the sportsbook well. Live betting, bet builder and cash-out all work, the match tracker is readable on a phone, and the bet slip stays pinned at the bottom. Finnish sports on Stake

Finnish players betting NHL games with Finnish players involved will find the standard player-prop markets. Odds on Finnish domestic leagues carried a wider margin than the top European leagues in our comparison, in line with the “small league” pattern above.
