Stake app and mobile
There is no Stake app in the App Store or Google Play in most regions. There is a mobile site that installs to your home screen and behaves like one. Here is how it holds up.
Is there a Stake app?
Not a native one, in most of the world. Stake.com is built as a web app: open it in a mobile browser and it adapts to the screen. Add it to your home screen and it opens full-screen without browser chrome, which is close enough to an app that most players stop noticing the difference.
The reason is licensing. Apple and Google only list real-money gambling apps from operators licensed in the regulated market the listing targets, and Stake’s Curaçao licence does not qualify in most stores.
Adding it to your home screen
- iPhone: open the site in Safari, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”.
- Android: open it in Chrome, tap the menu, then “Add to Home screen” or “Install app”.

What works well on mobile
- Originals. Dice, Plinko, Mines and Crash are light and built for a thumb.
- Live chat. Support is the same widget as desktop and answered in minutes in our tests.
- Deposits and withdrawals. Crypto flows are identical to desktop. QR scanning for wallet addresses is the one place mobile is actually better.
Where mobile falls short
- Heavy third-party slots. Some studios’ games are large downloads and stutter on older phones.
- Document upload. Camera compression on some phones produces images the review team rejects. If a document fails, retry from a desktop scan.
- No push notifications. A home-screen web app cannot notify you the way a native app can.
Fake apps
Search any app store for “Stake” and you will find look-alikes: coin-flip games, “strategy” tools and outright phishing. None of them are the operator. The only safe route is the site itself, typed into the browser or opened from our link, then added to the home screen.

Stake in the app stores, by region
Stake publishes native apps only where it holds a local licence that the store accepts. Everywhere else, including the markets this site serves, the answer is the web app. Any listing that appears in your store under the Stake name and offers real-money casino play in an unlicensed market is not Stake. The safest test: the real thing is reached by typing stake.com, never by installing a file.
Keeping the mobile account secure
- Turn on two-factor authentication under Settings → Security and use an authenticator app rather than SMS.
- Lock the phone with biometrics; a home-screen web app opens whatever session is logged in.
- Do not stay logged in on a shared device. Session management lets you sign out other devices remotely.
- Treat any message asking you to “verify” through a link as phishing. Stake asks for documents inside the account, not by DM.
Data and battery
Originals use almost no data. Slots download their assets on first load, typically 20–80 MB for a feature-rich title, then play from cache. Live dealer streams are the heavy part at roughly 1–2 GB an hour on high quality; lower the stream quality on mobile data. Battery drain is in line with any game with animation; nothing about the web app is unusually heavy.
