Set a deposit limit at signup, before the first deposit, because that is the only moment the decision is not being made under the influence of a session. Decreases apply immediately; increases after a cooling-off period.

Setting a deposit limit, step by step

1. Open your profile → Settings → Responsible gambling.
2. Choose deposit limit, then the period: daily, weekly or monthly.
3. Enter the amount in your display currency and confirm.
4. Do the same for a loss limit if you want a cap on net losses rather than on deposits.

Tightening a limit applies at once. Loosening one waits for a cooling-off period, which is the point: the decision to raise it is made by tomorrow’s you, not tonight’s.

A budget rule that works

Decide a monthly entertainment amount you could lose entirely without changing anything else in your life, and set that as the monthly deposit limit. Not the amount you hope to turn into more; the amount you are paying for the entertainment. If that number is zero this month, the limit is zero this month. Bonuses and rakeback do not change the rule; they are a discount on the price, not income.

During a session

• Decide the stop-loss and the stop time before the first bet, and stop at whichever comes first.
• Never chase. A loss is the price already paid, not a debt the game owes you.
• Do not play tired, drunk or upset. Every one of those makes chasing more likely.
• If you catch yourself hiding the session, that is the signal. Close the tab and use the break tool.
